The Mommy Underground

I have discovered the "Mommy Underground" it resides on online networks like Craigslist.org. Moms who have extra unopened and sealed formula will give away or sell for very cheap formula they may have received for free or that they can't return because they bought too much and their child stops using the formula.

I have even met moms who will give away their extra breast milk (I wouldn't do this unless you really know the other mom and trusted her).

Since I was physically unable to breastfeed my son no matter how much we tried (my body never made enough for him since he was born 5 weeks early and the NICU wouldn't let me breastfeed him after birth). So this underground Mommy network is a Godsend especially in this economy.

You can even find free and cheap clothing. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack but it's out there if you look for it. But ask any Mom - they would beg and borrow for their little ones and they are on Craigslist!
